What is the cancellation penalty?
At The Palms Hotel, we understand that plans can change. To ensure we can offer flexibility to all our guests while protecting our ability to manage room availability, the following cancellation policy applies: Standard Rate Reservations Cancellations made 48 hours prior to check-in (before 3:00 PM on the day of arrival) will incur no penalty, and any deposits made will be fully refunded. If a cancellation is made within 48 hours of the check-in date, a one-night stay charge will be applied as a penalty. No-shows or cancellations made on the day of arrival will be charged for the full amount of the first night. Non-Refundable Rate Reservations For reservations booked under a non-refundable rate (including promotional and discounted rates), the full amount is charged at the time of booking and cannot be refunded in the event of cancellation or modification. No refunds will be given for early departures or changes to the reservation. Group Reservations & Special Events Group bookings (five or more rooms) and reservations made during special events or peak seasons are subject to separate cancellation policies, which will be outlined in your booking confirmation. Typically, cancellations for group bookings must be made 14 days prior to check-in to avoid penalties. Cancellations made less than 14 days in advance may result in a 50% charge of the total booking value. Late Cancellations Due to Emergencies We understand that unexpected emergencies can occur. In cases of medical emergencies or other extenuating circumstances, we encourage guests to contact us as soon as possible, and we will assess cancellation fees on a case-by-case basis. Third-Party Bookings If your reservation was made through a third-party booking platform (e.g., Expedia, Booking.com), please refer to the cancellation policy outlined by the provider, as it may differ from the hotel’s direct booking policies. Modifications Any modifications to the reservation, including changes to the check-in or check-out dates, are subject to availability and may incur additional fees. Modifications made within the 48-hour window before arrival may still be subject to the standard cancellation penalty. Important Notes: All cancellation requests must be submitted via email or phone call. Guests who have prepaid for non-refundable rates are encouraged to purchase travel insurance to cover potential cancellations.
